INDIANAPOLIS ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Nate Crouch
Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, Nate Crouch Photography is a wedding and engagement photographer specializing in creative photography that reflect each couples unique personalities. Engagement Photography is a fun way to get to know me a little and at the same time explore a side to Indianapolis not many people get to experience. Its a fun session that allows couples to be themselves.
The What
Engagement sessions lasts 1 hour and include full-resolution digital images. A change of clothes adds an extra 20 minutes to an engagement session. If you'd like a change of clothes, we can plan for a 2-hour session. Feel free to contact me for more information.
Additional mileage ($0.55 per mile) may also apply for a location outside of Indianapolis.
What to wear
Rich colors do really well and contrast nicely with local gardens and the canal (both popular engagement photo sites). I'd avoid solid white clothes. Other than that just wear something that makes you feel beautiful and confident. Guys, just wear what she tells you to, and you'll be fine!
The When
Although I can shoot at any time of day, I love twilight pictures. In fact, the best time of day tends to be a half hour before sunset. That way we get golden hour photos, sunset (if we have one) and twilight pictures.
The How
Almost every couple I've ever photographed has told me how awkward they are in front of a camera. But when it's all said and done, I almost always hear, "that wasn't bad at all, that was actually fun!" Having fun translates into good pictures, and helping you feel relaxed and fun is part of what makes my engagement sessions special. My philosophy of posing couples is very relaxed. I like to say that I get you in the vicinity of a moment and then allow you, the couple, to create a genuine moment. I'll adjust things if needed but, more often than not, how you normally interact is beautiful! When you stop thinking about how to act, the moment just happens!
The Where
Here are some places in and around Indianapolis that I've enjoyed; they may help you decide where to have your engagement shoot. Links will open blog posts in a new window.
Engagement Books
Once you have the save the dates sent out you typically don't do anything with your engagement pictures. These two books offer you a way to remember all the fun and excitement of being engaged.
Interactive Guest/Reception Engagement Book
This book combines a guest book for the ceremony and an interactive book for the reception. This allows you to have your guests engage with your engagement pictures while remembering the fun things they had to say about you.
Coffee Table Book
The coffee table book allows you to remember your engagement session in a fun way for years to come. You can even have your guests sign around the images at your wedding.
